In collaboration with The USAID Ecosystems/Protibesh Activity, BaSE is taking proactive steps to uplift local communities in key biodiversity areas, including the Sundarbans Reserve Forest in southwestern Bangladesh and ecologically critical zones in the northeast.

Our one-month training program, slated for 60 selected women from a nearby Sundarbans village, aims to equip them with valuable handicraft skills.

This initiative comes in the wake of BaSE’s commitment to supporting disadvantaged producers in Bangladesh. The training sessions near the world’s largest mangrove forest underscore the significance of empowering individuals, particularly women, in forest-dependent communities.
